Electrical Engineer
Responsibilities
- Assess electrical requirements and perform engineering work for genset control panels.
- Responsible for electrical system design (AC/DC circuits) for power gen application for Low, medium, and high voltages.
- Perform failure analyses such as DFMEA during design verification and recommend changes on product level requirements.
- Developing test and validation plans and documenting test results.
- Support development prototype testing with different controllers for newly added feature to verify the system performance as per requirements.
- Participate in the review forum to review the design concept, prototypes or factory builds, test results and the documents.
- Manage new design releases and change management approvals using PLM or Windchill.
- Co-ordinate the work between the Onsite and Offshore team and provide technical support.
- Analyze electrical and controls related issues for abnormal operation of electrical system and provide solutions.
- Collaborate with cross functional or subsystems teams for integrated technical requirements.
Skills/Experience required
- Bachelor’s in Electrical engineering.
- New Product Development, Genset harness knowledge, schematic wiring diagrams, Bill of materials, controls panel layouts, AutoCAD Electrical, Creo, Windchill or any PLM tools.
- Supported Skills: 3D CAD modelling, HIL (Hardware in loop) bench simulations.
- Knowledge on electrical systems /genset products.
- Working experience on medium voltage systems.
