JOB SUMMARY
ECU Validation Engineer responsible for validating ECM/TCM ECUs function against requirements
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Work closely with software developers to create HIL-specific test cases to test the proper function of
control software.
Develop validation test plan from requirements
Perform bench and HIL testing against plan
Configure and validate HIL inputs / outputs and custom wiring harness function that interfaces with the
Electronic Control Module.
Work closely with hardware and software engineers to troubleshoot software and system issues.
Responsible for the development and maintenance of the test environment, including changes to the
hardware set up, wire harness and any associated equipment.
Develop scripts to automate testing on the HIL platform.
Capture and report issues into tracking system for resolution
Prepare test report documentation
MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor’s Degree in EE, CE, or CS
5 or more years of experience with HIL Testing systems.
Experience in electromechanical or electronic systems required
Excellent time-management skills
Testing and debugging automotive embedded systems software.
Working knowledge of modeling, simulation, and testing techniques.
Outstanding interpersonal skills, excellent problem solving skills, self-motivation

Development of System level Test plans & executing test cases for powertrain systems
HIL / In vehicle Testing
CAN logs (CANOE, CANalyzer)/ LIN logs
Design Verification Plan development
Test Scripts & Issues Documentation.
Very clear understanding of software validation processes.
Configuration Management

dSPACE – Automation Desk and Control Desk / Provetech
IBM ALM/CLM Tools Like RTC, RQM, DNG etc.
