Roles and Responsibilities:
• Applies and supports the development of processes such as Design Review, Virtual Review, and tools such as iDFMEA, tolerance stack-up, etc.
• Conducts cross-functional reviews for components on its own, and seeks guidance from experts and program team members as required.
• 3D CAD modeling for major casting components and other engine components like plumbing, sheet metal brackets, etc.
• Creating and checking 2D drawings. Apply GD&T and design for manufacturing/service/assembly.
• Develop engineering releases as per component requirements for the respective design phase.
• Support on the engine build with proposed BOM (Review BOM and verify it during engine build).
• Support part movement during the engine builds, validation, testing, etc.
• Capable to handle ETLA and Product tailoring components/system TLA.
• Investigates product problems & recommends appropriate actions.
• Support problem resolution and document results with guidance from more experienced team members.
• Obtains input from stakeholders such as technical managers, project leaders, other product and manufacturing engineers, and supplier partners to deliver information and recommendations that lead to quality product decisions.
• Applies academic knowledge and existing experience to act and make decisions that progress projects forward without sacrificing project quality expectations.
• Support product design, development, and validation process from concept to final release in the PLM system.
Skills Required:
• Background of working in CREO 2.0 on engine components like plumbing, sheet metal parts, casting, etc.
• Knowledge of product lifecycle.
• Knowledge of Manufacturing processes and Design for Assembly.
• MCM knowledge is preferred.
• Basic knowledge of engine component’s function is preferred.
